会長挨拶

On behalf of the Symposium Committee, it is my great pleasure to announce the 15th IGICS which will be held in Tokyo on February 12th, 2022 as a keynote program of the 18th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Gastroenterological Association (President is Professor Yasuyuki Seto, Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery, Graduate School of Medicine, The University of Tokyo). The venue of the symposium is Keio Plaza Hotel located in Shinjuku area, the center for business and is close to Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.

The topic of the 15th IGICS is “Progress and current status of IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) treatment”. Treatment for IBD has made remarkable progress recently. However, as for the current situation, there is no consensus for treatment strategy due to the large number of therapeutic options. Although the treatment situation differs from country to country, we would like to reach consensus at this meeting in order to build effective treatment strategies.
In addition, it would be great if we could discuss how to treat IBD or other GI diseases under the prevalence of COVID-19.
Of course, you are very welcome to submit an abstract on a wide range of GI disease regardless of its topic.
